“My basketry income keeps me busy and gives me enough money to buy medication, feed my family, and even know there is a better tomorrow.” -Agnes, Basket Weaver, Uganda (left) Joyce and Agnes both rely on orders of fair trade baskets to support themselves and send their children to school in rural Uganda. Joyce has three children and through sales of her handwoven baskets she has been able to build a small home. Agnes is married with nine children, and without employment with Serrv’s partner NAWOU she is afraid there would be no other job possibilities for her because she is HIV positive.
